Enter start, end and unpaid break minutes for every shift. Select Ends next day for each overnight shift. Add or remove shifts as needed. Each row is independent; enter every shift once.
The math behind it
Shift minutes = end − start + overnight adjustment − unpaid break Total minutes = sum of shift minutes Total decimal hours = total minutes ÷ 60
A worked example
Two shifts from 09:00 to 17:00, each with a 30-minute unpaid break, total 900 minutes: 15 hours.
Assumptions & precision
One to 31 shifts, each from 0 to 24 hours. Breaks must be whole minutes within the shift duration. Equal clock times mean zero hours, or 24 hours if Ends next day is selected. No dates or overlap detection, so duplicate or overlapping rows are your responsibility. No daylight-saving adjustment, payroll rounding, wages, automatic overtime or legal compliance claim. Totals use exact entered minutes; decimal hours display up to 6 places.
